The opportunity: Within EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution sub-service line, the Commercial Strategy practice focuses on complex and high-profile commercial strategies, global transactions, and turn-arounds. We prepare and execute separation and integration strategies, identify ways to maximize stakeholder value through customer and revenue opportunities, and advise on risk mitigation and successful transformation of operations, functions, and people.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Director with EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution Commercial Strategy practice, you will be a vital member of the team leading and executing strategy development, transactions, and turn-arounds for our clients. You will:
- Collaborate with EY-Parthenon team members to realize improved returns by improving corporate/BU strategy, go-to-market strategy (including digital), commercial operating model, and optimization of the commercial functions (sales, service, marketing, pricing)
- Identify, define, quantify, and realize sustainable value through revenue enhancement and cost/margin improvement tied to the client’s commercial activities
- Focus on business development and practice development, as well as developing team members to achieve their career goals

Qualifications
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics with 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with 3 years of related work experience
- MBA is preferred
- Significant transactions (buy and/or sell side) management consulting experience
- Experience in the following areas:
- Corporate and/or BU strategy development
- Commercial functions (sales, marketing, customer service, pricing)
- Go-to-market strategy and revenue synergy design/capture for traditional, digital and hybrid models
- Market landscape evaluation, including market size, competition, and trends
- Pre-deal strategy, profitability assessments, and related activities
- Leading and managing in complex business environments
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with ability to build relationships
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A proven track record in transactions and/or commercial strategy roles
- Experience in another large professional services organization
- Knowledge of leveraging AI tools in a business setting (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)
- Established networking skills in a relevant industry

- Base salary range: $205,000 to $235,000, with a comprehensive Total Rewards package (medical/dental, pension/401(k), paid time off, etc.)
