EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution Commercial Strategy practice works on complex and high-profile commercial strategies, global transactions, and turn-arounds across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a team of experienced professionals with a background in strategy and commercial operations who act as strategic advisers, bringing deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. We prepare and execute separation and integration strategies and plans, identify ways to maximize stakeholder value through customer and revenue opportunities, and advise on risk mitigation and the successful transformation of operations, functions, and people.

Your Role

As a Senior Director with EY-Parthenon\'s Strategy and Execution Commercial Strategy practice, you will be a vital member of the executive team, leading and executing strategy development, transactions, and turn-arounds for our clients. You will collaborate with EY-Parthenon team members to realize improved returns by identifying and unlocking value through improvements in corporate/BU strategy, go-to-market strategy (including digital), commercial operating model, and optimization of the commercial functions (sales, service, marketing, pricing), while minimizing customer disruption. You will identify, define, quantify, and realize sustainable value through revenue enhancement and cost/margin improvement tied to the commercial aspects of the clients\' business, and contribute to business and practice development as well as the development of team members to achieve their career goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams across EY-Parthenon to successful project execution.
  • Drive value for clients through fast-paced, business-driven decision making.
  • Support and lead client pursuits contributing to at least $2M per year in team sales.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve career goals.
  • Build strong relationships with senior clients, influencing key decision makers.
  • Develop thought leadership and intellectual capital.

Qualifications & Skills (Required)

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics with 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with ~7 years of experience.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Significant transactions (buy and/or sell side) management consulting experience.
  • Experience in: corporate/BU strategy development; commercial functions (sales, marketing, customer service, pricing); go-to-market strategy and revenue synergy design/capture for traditional, digital and hybrid models; market landscape evaluation; pre-deal strategy; leading in complex environments; negotiation and influencing; travel willingness.
  • Ability to work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

Nice-to-Have

  • Track record in transactions or commercial strategy roles.
  • Experience in a large professional services organization.
  • Knowledge of leveraging AI tools in a business setting (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
  • Established networking in a relevant industry.

  • Comprehensive compensation and benefits; base salary range for this role in the US is $250,000 to $290,000, with Total Rewards including medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and a wide range of paid time off.
