Responsibilities

  • Apply a comprehensive, specialist level knowledge of contract lifecycle management to set and drive a service management-centric strategy for Enterprise Contracting Center (ECC) contracts team(s); ensure consistent application of guidance in providing advice or other solutions to the ECC and business area professionals; ensure contracting processes are followed by contract managers per business, Risk Management, Independence, and Office of General Counsel requirements.
  • Strategic and proactive responsibility to contribute to ECC goals by participating in the development and execution of tactical plans that improve client service, create incremental client value, cost savings, and process re-engineering.
  • Direct or be a primary contributor on multiple key projects, programs and initiatives requiring advanced contract management knowledge and negotiation skills; make independent decisions on high risk and complex matters; identify process improvements and contribute to innovation through enhancements that create client value and efficiencies.
  • Regularly interface and build collaborative relationships with partners, professionals, and senior client leaders to champion ECC’s value to the firm and provide a positive impression of the firm.
  • Establish credibility as a key advisor by advising on terms, mitigating professional risks, and providing insights on intellectual property protection to enable leadership decisions on key terms.
  • Provide active coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing with junior staff; manage and review team members’ work; plan for short-term needs and deploy resources; may have people management responsibility for a mid-sized to small team of entry to intermediate professionals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum ten years of recent experience in contract management, procurement, and/or deal desk leading negotiations of complex contracts and overseeing a contract management team; preferably in the professional services industry in Federal, SLG or commercial contracting.
  • Bachelor’s degree; master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs, apply expertise in contract lifecycle management, and understand legal matters; strong decision-making influence for the organization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills; ability to motivate and empower others to achieve organizational goals.
  • Certified in Contract Management (e.g., NCMA) preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future; no sponsorship for U.S. work visas is available for this opportunity.
