Concept Frames, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking a General Manager for the Door Group in Newton, North Carolina (near Charlotte). This role oversees P&L, operations, customer interface, safety, and regulatory compliance, reporting to the Head of Hollow Metal Southeast Region.

What would you do as our General Manager?


You’ll allocate the majority of your time to two areas:



  • Leading key business development initiatives, maintaining high-touch customer relationships and improving the customer experience, and collaborating with the Door Security Solutions sales group to grow the door and frame business in alignment with Door Group strategy.

  • Driving operational excellence by continuing and building on lean manufacturing processes in line with Door Group best practices.

  • Own and drive the strategy to achieve operational success and create a customer-centric atmosphere.

  • Provide thoughtful leadership and strategic vision within the ASSA ABLOY and Door Group framework.

  • Oversee overall operations and P&L, honoring commitments to safety and employee morale.

  • Ensure consistent achievement of production, quality, and cost objectives.

  • Implement and drive operational excellence principles throughout the business.

  • Identify strategic investment opportunities with a compelling business case.

  • Provide labor planning, materials management and people development.

  • Oversee budgets, forecasts and business plans to meet financial and business goals.

  • Ensure consistent achievement in production, quality and cost targets while maintaining the big picture.

  • Build a talented workforce and oversee retention and succession planning.

  • Lead by example in a safe, harmonious work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.

  • Protect the organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality of protected and proprietary information.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

  • Other projects and assignments as needed.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (metal forming industry knowledge a plus).

  • Experience in a matrixed organization structure.

  • Ability to interpret financial statements to optimize operations and align with business goals.

  • Proven ability to leverage forecasts to meet business goals.

  • Commitment to service excellence and customer service.

  • Experience coaching and mentoring teams; visible leadership on shifts.

  • Excellent oral, written and listening skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and inspire employees, provide and receive feedback.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) and strong ERP system experience.
