Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of political advertising sales within the organization.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy tailored to the political advertising sector by state and market for national, state, local and political proposition campaigns.
  • Engage with political media agencies, target markets, parties, committees and PACs and campaigns.
  • Coordinate with Entravision stations on targeted State and Federal government campaigns.
  • Maintain and cultivate political connections with consultants, Committees, PACs and campaign managers; build partnerships with stakeholders to secure advertising contracts.
  • Lead and develop the political sales team; provide guidance to maximize performance; generate weekly activity reports; maintain the political engagement database.
  • Monitor market trends, political events and regulatory changes; forecast sales and provide regular reports on performance and insights.
  • Identify and pursue new clients in the political advertising space (candidates, committees, PACs); ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Negotiate advertising rates and packages; collaborate with pricing leads to determine appropriate pricing; publish rate cards.
  • Ensure compliance with political advertising regulations and FCC guidelines; manage budget for political sales and monitor expenses.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in political sales with a track record of achieving targets; extensive connections in the political advertising industry.
  • Strong leadership, project management, negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of political advertising regulations and compliance; ability to adapt to evolving political landscapes.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, or related field or minimum 5 years of broadcasting and digital sales experience.
  • Established relationships with committees, PACs and key decision-makers; ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, ability to plan and meet tight deadlines; ability to work independently and in a team; entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite; willingness to travel and entertain clients.
  • Based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Position Type / Hours

This is a Full Time position. Actual schedule and hours may vary.

Supervisory Responsibility

Reports directly to Chief Government Affairs Officer.
