Smashing Dishes, the newest brand from Tony Caters, has a terrific opening for a Sales Executive. Founded in 2009, Tony Caters is a dynamic, well-regarded off-site catering company that produces events in the South Bay and the greater Bay Area; additional cafes are located inside the Tech Interactive Museum in downtown San Jose and at the Winchester Mystery House.

Salary: $65,000 plus bonus and commission. This full-time role takes start-to-finish ownership of the sales cycle for a portfolio of catered events, under the direction of the department manager. The Sales Executive will also conduct limited outbound sales with existing and select new clients to grow the business and meet revenue targets.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Client Relations
- Lead Management: respond promptly to inbound leads, schedule discovery calls (for yourself or other team members), and maintain accurate records in the CRM software
- Proposal Creation & Maintenance: assist in drafting and formatting proposals, ensure pricing consistency, timely delivery, appropriate follow up and revisions
- Confirm that retainer, final and post-event payments are completed by the client
- Administration
- Input external data (Wedding Wire, The Knot, etc.) into the CRM software
- Maintain and audit digital files for events, clients, venues and vendor partners
- Coordinate with all departments to move through the sales cycle and ensure client vision and event objectives are communicated and executed
- Maintain understanding of menus (seasonal and year-round), offerings with exclusivity and preferred venue partnerships, and custom initiatives for high-profile events
- Support sales team in executing special projects, including trend analysis, design mockups with production, sourcing vendors for specialty items, and tracking viable past and lost clients for future business development
- Support Business Development efforts with the sales cycle for sponsored events, familiarization tastings, showcases, etc.

Qualifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills for the lifecycle of an event (from proposal to final payment and post-event feedback)
- Ability to manage internal documentation and timely client communication
- Proficiency with CRM software and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to coordinate with culinary, production, clerical and other departments
- Deep understanding of menus and offerings, and capacity to contribute to special projects and vendor coordination
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet sales revenue targets
