Overview
Account Executive | Public Sector at Ramp. This role defines and executes Ramp’s go-to-market (GTM) and sales strategy for selling to government agencies. It is a highly impactful individual contributor role focused on growing Ramp’s presence and product usage within the SLED and federal government space.
What You’ll Do
- Exceed metrics aligned with the near-term goals and drive government GTM and sales strategy.
- Develop winning sales strategies that focus on compelling value propositions for government customers.
- Design and execute Ramp’s government GTM and sales strategy and refine value propositions based on feedback.
- Liaise with, influence, and indirectly lead cross-functional partners to align on strategy and execution.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to close government agency deals.
- Close deals with federal and SLED agencies and drive product adoption within those organizations.
- Collaborate with product and product marketing to ensure value propositions are articulated to the right audience.
- Establish foundational practices and processes for growing a focused government sales team.
Near-Term Goals
- Develop a Strategy – Define a clear plan to expand Ramp’s presence in government agencies.
- Execute and Drive Growth – Implement the strategy to achieve closed-won deals and increased product adoption.
What You Need
- 4+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, with a consistent record of exceeding goals.
- Proven experience closing deals in the SLED or Federal space.
- Strategic thinker with a systems mindset to design scalable strategies for new verticals.
- Experience in a fast-paced SaaS or GTM environment is a plus.
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills and ability to create scalable sales systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills; able to articulate technical, contractual, and financial value to senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.
- High-energy, service-oriented leader with a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset.

Base pay range: $177,400.00/yr - $291,600.00/yr
