Schedule:  Weekends only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Units:  Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and other like units
 

Position Summary:

Client is seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to work night shifts on weekends with the flexibility to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and other similar units. The nurse will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, level 1 trauma environment, maintaining patient ratios of 6:1 and 7:1 in the PCU. Experience with EPIC electronic health records is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU and PCU.
• Float to all like units as needed, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
• Maintain patient care ratios of 6:1 and 7:1 in the PCU.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care accurately and timely using EPIC.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility.
• Proven ability to manage complex patient care in critical and progressive care settings.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (NJ-RN) License.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.

Additional Requirements:

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
• Must be willing and able to float to all like units as required.
