Job Title: Med/Surg RN Traveler
Job Type: Contract Position
Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 AM - 07:00 PM)
Location: South Carolina
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in South Carolina. This position offers flexible scheduling with options for 3x12 or 4x12 shifts during the day. As a Med/Surg RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, managing a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6-1:7, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg setting.
- Administer medications, treatments, and care as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and support the management of dysrhythmias.
- Assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Participate in staff meetings and continuous education processes.
- Float to similar units as necessary based on facility needs.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid South Carolina RN license or Compact license prior to start.
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required.
- Prior travel experience is mandatory; first-time travelers will not be considered.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Experience with telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias preferred.
Additional Information:
- Every other weekend availability is required.
- No on-call duties required.
- Attendance at compulsory staff meetings and completion of assigned modules before your start date is mandatory.

- Type of Facility: Short-term acute care hospital with a total of 97 staffed beds.
- Charting System: Epic
- Parking: No cost
- Daily Census: Approximately 36 patients
As a travel nurse, you should be prepared for hurricane season, which runs from June to November. All staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during this time.
