About The Position
Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer (Registered) Profession: Echo Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: State Echo Sonographer License Certifications: A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required. BLS certification issued through American Heart Association. Must-Have: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a two-year allied health education program related to patient care - Strong communication skills - Strong organizational skills - Ability to work collaboratively with others from various disciplines - Ability to work at a rapid pace under stressful conditions - Manual dexterity to perform echocardiograms Description: Performs diagnostic echocardiograms on adults and pediatric patients. Responsible to the Director of Cardiovascular Services. May be exposed to physical injury, infectious diseases, and airborne and bloodborne pathogens. Knowledge of safety standards to limit exposure to infectious diseases is required. Physical requirements include lifting patients and pushing heavy equipment, beds, and carts.
