Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and client-focused
Events Manager
to oversee our banquets, meetings, and special events. This role will play a critical part in building our events program as we rebrand into a Courtyard Marriott, ensuring seamless execution and memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute events (corporate, social, and in-house) from inquiry to completion, including detailing customer events and producing BEOs and resumes.
Collaborate with F&B and culinary teams to design menus and event packages.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
Manage events while coordinating with Sales on on-site communications and ensure cost-effective operations.
Work with sales to create revenue opportunities through creative upselling.
Ensure all events meet Marriott brand standards and operational excellence guidelines.
Schedule and supervise banquet staff and ensure proper event setup, execution, and breakdown.
Qualifications
2–4 years of event planning/management experience in a hotel or similar venue.
Marriott events and sales systems experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
Excellent negotiation, customer service, and communication skills.
Creative mindset with a solutions-oriented approach.
