PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The HVAC Helper assists in the overall operation and maintenance of all the district's HVAC and refrigeration systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED required
Refrigerant Recovery Certification preferred
At least three years' experience in HVAC field preferred
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Assists in the maintenance and operation of the HVAC systems, which include maintaining filters, and coils, maintaining cooling towers, maintaining valves and control system for all district's HVAC units.
? Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
? Performs other related duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED:
? Power tools (drill, saw etc.), hand tools, pressure washer, district vehicle, high lifts, refrigerant recovery units
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors:
? Maintain emotional control under stress, frequent district travel, continuous walking, standing, heavy lifting and carrying, exposure to extreme weather conditions, exposure to electrical and chemical hazards, working in high places.
