Maintenance Technician - Parenteral Filling Line
The
Maintenance Technician
will join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in
Bloomington, Indiana , currently expanding its operations and investing in a high-performing maintenance team. This role supports a GMP parenteral manufacturing facility and focuses on the preventive and corrective maintenance of aseptic filling equipment. Technicians will work hands-on with production machinery and collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure equipment reliability and compliance.
This position offers multiple shift options, including weekday nights and weekend coverage, with a competitive hourly rate of $40-$48/hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on filling line equipment (e.g., vial washers, depyrogenation tunnels, filling stations, cappers). Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime. Support line setup and changeovers for different product batches. Maintain documentation in accordance with GMP standards (e.g., maintenance logs, deviation reports). Ensure compliance with aseptic processing protocols and cleanroom procedures. Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support site operations. Uphold safety and environmental standards in daily operations. Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician:
Experience in pharmaceutical maintenance, specifically with production equipment. Ability to read technical schematics and follow SOPs. Familiarity with FDA regulations, GMP, and validation protocols. Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, hands-on approach. Motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and take ownership of their work. Shift Options:
The site currently operates a 4/3 shift model, transitioning to 5 shifts. Candidates must be open to working nights and weekends:
Weekday Nights: 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM (Monday - Thursday) Weekend AM: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Friday - Sunday) Weekend PM: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Friday - Sunday) Additional shifts include:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Mon-Thurs) 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM (Mon-Thurs) 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM (Mon-Thurs) Compensation & Benefits of the Maintenance Technician:
Competitive hourly rate: $40-$48/hour, based on experience. Full benefits package available depending on employment type.
