Job Description:

SUMMARY

Provides oversight of Leave anddisability administration for the College. Management of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations andWorkers Compensation claims. Responsiblefor continuous improvement of related leave policies, projects, and processesto ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Assists other Benefits and HumanResources staff with programming and initiatives. This role is crucial inensuring that our employees receive the support and benefits they need whilemaintaining legal compliance. This position requires functional knowledge ofall areas of HR and a commitment to quality customer service and employeewell-being,

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS Serves as primary point of contact and provides daily case management for all leaves of absence, ADA reasonable accommodations and disability plans at the College. Manages and administers various types of leaves, including FMLA, non-FMLA medical leaves, administrative and personal leaves, faculty Professional Improvement Leaves (PIL), and military leaves. Coordinates the leave process ensuring compliance with College policies and legal requirements. Serves as liaison between employees, managers and third-party administrator for employee leaves of absence to include identification of action items and providing timely status updates to managers. Calculates and submits biweekly employee timesheet reporting for employees on continuous leaves; calculates STD payments which includes collaboration with Payroll Services, Benefits, and HRIS for employees transitioning to disability or unpaid leave status. Administers the Leave Donation Program which includes maintaining records, annual reporting and processing payments of donated time to eligible employees. Serves as expert, and engages in continuing education, regarding federal, state, and local labor laws, making sure all leave, ADA, and Workers Compensation policies remain compliant; provides interpretation, recommendations and application of applicable changes. Manages posting of required employer notifications as related to FMLA, ADA, OSHA and Workers' Compensation throughout all campuses and electronically as applicable. Responsible for establishing employee eligibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), performing case management while ensuring compliance with related laws, other regulations and guidelines. Serves as point of contact for employees injured on the job and works closely with insurance providers, medical professionals, and legal teams to facilitate claims processing. Collection, review and submission of incident reports and claims, completion of required BWC filings, required reporting, audits, investigations, claims reviews, bill reconciliation and payment, and managing relationship with third party administrators for Workers' Compensation. Monitor the progress of claims and facilitate the return-to-work process. Point of contact for management of lactation rooms collegewide. Recommends, develops, reviews, and implements new policies, programs, processes and procedures, as they relate to leave management. Administers the College remission of fees program. Assists other Benefits staff as necessary including Benefits & Well Being Administrator with well-being programming and initiatives as needed. Manages employee discounts to include working with vendors, employee communications and maintaining Employee Discount KWEB page. Manages internal KWEB pages related to areas of responsibility. Generate reports and provide data analysis related to leaves, ADA accommodations, and benefits programs. Documents policies and procedures. Assists with special projects. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Bachelor's degree

Significant related experience may substitute for education

Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience directly administering FMLA and ADA functions Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team Demonstrated experience requiring diverse problem-solving methods in a variety of situations KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Demonstrated case management experience Demonstrated ADA administration in a higher education environment Self-insured Workers' Compensation experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS (The demandsdescribed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job. The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment; The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated; Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.; Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite

Target Starting Salary Range: $55,000 to$59,000 The final offer for the successfulcandidate is targeted to fall within this range, but will be based upon anassessment of internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate'squalifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s).
