Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a

Leave Administrator

on behalf of our client, a family-owned, privately held medical device company. The Leave Administrator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all leaves of absence for local employees while also serving as a liaison to ensure consistent application of leave policies across affiliated companies. This role is vital to ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and company-specific leave policies, while also supporting employees and HR leaders with timely and accurate leave management.

Key Responsibilities: Administer leaves of absence in compliance with FMLA, ADA, and company-specific leave policies.

Serve as the Local HR Coordinator for Cook Inc. and as the Leave Administration Unit (LAU) Coordinator for companies outside of Cook Inc.

Monitor, track, and manage employee leaves of absence through internal systems, ensuring accurate documentation.

Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) for leave administration and recommend process improvements.

Collaborate with the Team Lead and Manager of the LAU to refine and enhance leave administration processes.

Partner with Leave Administration Clerks to ensure timely and correct communication of leave-related information.

Mentor and train new team members, internally and externally, on leave administration practices.

Use independent judgment and knowledge of FMLA/ADA to make informed decisions on leave cases.

Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave procedures, ensuring consistent and fair practices.

Participate in HR projects and initiatives to enhance the employee experience related to leave administration.

Requirements include:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of direct leave administration or equivalent experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.

Skills: Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems used for documenting leaves.

Certifications: PHR or FMLA/ADA Certification preferred (or equivalent commensurate experience).

Knowledge: Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other leave-related laws and regulations.

Familiarity with company-specific leave policies and HR best practices.

Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to mentor, train, and support other team members.
