Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team. This position involves performing high-quality CT examinations for patients across various age groups-from infants to geriatrics-following established protocols for physician interpretation.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct CT examinations efficiently, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. - Provide quality patient care while managing a diverse patient population. - Prepare and administer contrast media as required and start peripheral IVs. - Operate the PACS system for imaging processing and storage. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate patient care and interventional cases. - Participate in on-call rotation as needed. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices related to radiation exposure.
Qualifications: - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist (first-time travelers welcome). - Required certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT), SCRQSA (CT), and BLS from the American Heart Association. - Must possess a South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) license or be in the process of obtaining one. - Graduated from an accredited school of radiologic technology or completed a clinical rotation with ARRT certification by the end of the rotation. - Must provide a radiation badge, which will be supplied by your agency.
Special Requirements: - Capable of performing inpatient, ER, and scheduled interventional cases. - Experience in starting IVs and conducting biopsies is essential.
Additional Information: - Shift: 4x10s from Monday to Thursday (2 PM - 12:30 AM). - No floating between service lines is required. - Local radius for candidate acceptance is 60 miles. - Approved time off must be communicated at the time of submission, with limitations on RTO post-submission. - Awareness of hurricane season responsibilities is encouraged, as all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during this time.
