Job Description CEEUS Job description Material Handler About Us: Organized in 1974 by electric cooperatives in South Carolina, CEEUS, Inc. is a corporation whose members are electric cooperatives in the Eastern region of the United States. CEEUS, Inc. is headquartered in West Columbia, South Carolina and operates warehouses out of their headquarters and a second location in Glen Allen, Virginia. Serving electric cooperatives, municipalities, and investor-owned utilities in South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware, CEEUS, Inc. proudly offers convenient delivery to customers via our fleet of trucks or common carrier. Nature and Scope:
This role works hands-on in the warehouse environment and supports a variety of warehouse functions including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, staging, and loading. The Material Handler operates material handling equipment, assists with inventory maintenance, and supports general housekeeping to maintain a clean and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities: Load, unload, and move materials manually or using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment Assist with receiving, checking, labeling, and stocking incoming material Pull and stage materials for outbound shipments or internal use Ensure materials are properly stored, stacked, and organized in designated area Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by reporting damaged or misplaced items Support daily order fulfillment and loading of customer deliveries or pickups Maintain clean and safe work areas by following housekeeping standards Follow all safety guidelines for lifting, equipment operation, and warehouse navigation Report any unsafe conditions, product damage, or equipment issues to supervisors Support team members in completing daily warehouse operations and special projects as needed
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must have at least 2 years of warehouse experience Experience driving stand up and sit down forklifts
Working Location and Conditions: Based in a warehouse facility located in Glen Allen, VA 1st shift, Monday-Friday Regular standing, lifting (up to 50lbs), walking, and climbing required May require extended hours during peak operations or inventory counts
