About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Vascular Technologist to join our team.
This position involves performing non-invasive diagnostic procedures in the vascular lab to detect and quantify peripheral vascular diseases. You will analyze test data, generate preliminary interpretation reports, and discuss results with physicians.
You'll be responsible for training new technologists and students in non-invasive testing techniques and interpretation, as well as organizing and presenting in-services on vascular ultrasound and non-invasive testing to nursing and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform non-invasive peripheral vascular diagnostic examinations as ordered by referring physicians.
- Evaluate normal vs. abnormal test results and provide preliminary ultrasound results to attending physicians.
- Conduct various sonographic exams, including carotid duplex, ankle-brachial indices, and venous duplex exams.
- Train new associate technologists and vascular technology students in non-invasive procedures.
- Develop and present formal in-services on non-invasive peripheral vascular procedures.
