Senior Fire Protection Engineering Consultant

to join our team. The Fire Protection Engineer will serve as a client manager and 'Doer/Seller' in the New England region, responsible for project delivery and client satisfaction, supported by our full Fire Protection Engineering team. Projects encompass all aspects of fire protection engineering, from proposal development to system design, site evaluations, testing, and commissioning. Typical systems include fire sprinklers, pumps, high expansion foam, clean agent systems, fire alarms, and mass notification systems, serving industries like DoD, data centers, industrial manufacturing, and commercial clients. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Business development and client management Proposal preparation, project budgeting, and scheduling Hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and pump design Analyzing life safety requirements, code compliance, occupant load calculations, and egress analysis On-site system evaluations and testing Coordination with other engineering disciplines BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Increase revenue through quality work and client interactions Attend industry events for networking Identify and secure new work from existing and new clients CLIENT MANAGEMENT: Engage with clients to understand needs and provide expertise Present proposals and project updates Ensure client satisfaction through effective delivery REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Professional Engineer in Fire Protection 15+ years of professional experience BSc or MSc in Fire Protection Engineering or related field Experience in fire protection system design, including sprinklers, pumps, clean agents, foam, alarms, and notification systems Proficiency in hydraulic design software Knowledge of building and design codes (IBC, NFPA 101, NFPA 13, NFPA 72) US Citizenship is required COMPENSATION The estimated salary range is $143,634 to $248,048, dependent on education, experience, and location. WORKPLACE FLEXIBILITY This role can be remote or hybrid for candidates in the New England region.
