Are you an experienced Litigation Paralegal seeking a dynamic opportunity with a boutique law firm? Adams & Martin Group is working with a thriving insurance defense firm in San Juan Capistrano, founded by an attorney with a strong background at an AM Law firm, offering a unique blend of sophisticated work and a collaborative, nimble environment. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Paralegal for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This is an excellent chance to join a firm that values its team members and provides a supportive atmosphere for professional growth. The firm is looking for an individual who is ready to hit the ground running and contribute to our continued success. Responsibilities: Manage and organize large volumes of documents, including pleadings, discovery, and exhibits, for complex litigation matters. Conduct thorough legal research and factual investigations to support case development. Draft and prepare various legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and trial exhibits. Assist with all phases of discovery, including propounding and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. Prepare for and assist attorneys at depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Summarize depositions, medical records, and other relevant documents. Maintain and manage case calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Assist with e-filing in various state and federal courts. Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team. Qualifications: Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, with a strong background in insurance defense. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or qualifies under Business and Professions Code 6450. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong legal research and writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis). Experience with e-discovery platforms and case management software is a plus. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external parties. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. High level of professionalism and discretion.
