We are seeking a first shift Process Technician for our manufacturing client in Shelbyville, IN. As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for programming and performing tool changes on CNC horizontal mills, troubleshooting automation systems, and leading process improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and working independently.
What Youll Do as a Process Technician:
Master CNC Operations
: Program and execute precise tool changes on CNC horizontal mills to ensure top-quality production.
Troubleshoot Like a Pro
: Diagnose and resolve issues with machining, robotics, and automation systems to keep operations running smoothly.
Lead with Impact
: Spearhead kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and eliminate scrap.
Mentor and Train
: Guide tool changers, sharing your expertise to elevate team performance.
Drive Efficiency
: Monitor cycle and takt times, manage tooling budgets, and prepare financial data to support operational goals.
Stay Hands-On
: Conduct physical inventories, attend team meetings, and tackle additional responsibilities as needed.
What You can Bring as a Process Technician:
Experience
: Minimum 2 years in CNC machine operation or programming, with hands-on expertise in horizontal mills.
Technical Know-How
: Familiarity with automation systems, robotic troubleshooting, and lean manufacturing principles (kaizen experience a plus).

Education
