This opportunity involves working with our Fire and Life Safety Team in our
Atlanta, GA
offices. Other locations considered include Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL; Miami, FL; and Charlotte, NC. You will provide technical guidance on projects related to fire and life safety systems, including design, development, testing, and inspection. Responsibilities include research, design, code review, and compliance for systems such as sprinklers, fire alarms, smoke control, and egress analysis. Your Responsibilities
Interpret building, fire, and life safety codes (ICC and NFPA, including IBC and NFPA 101). Review architectural drawings for code compliance. Negotiate with authorities having jurisdiction. Create fire safety strategies to support design processes. Design fire protection systems and carry out related calculations and modeling. Assist in system commissioning and interface with clients. Organize resources, review project documentation, and develop proposals and budgets. Manage project finances, mentor junior staff, and prepare technical reports. Participate in departmental initiatives and contribute to business development. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's in Fire Protection Engineering or related field. 5+ years of fire protection and life safety consulting experience. Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD. Excellent communication skills. Preferred: P.E. license. Experience in healthcare consulting and design. About WSP
