Travel Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Shift Details

This position requires evening shifts, scheduled as 4x10s, within the hours of 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. On-call duties are expected 2-3 times every two weeks, with an average duration of 4 hours before or after shifts. Job Description

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist is responsible for performing MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role includes the operation of MRI equipment, positioning patients, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities

Understand the Magnetic Resonance imaging process and adhere to prescribed safety standards. Provide protection to patients and personnel in accordance with safety protocols. Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, thoroughly explaining the exams and addressing any questions. Perform MRI imaging procedures, including neuro, body, and extremity scans, adhering to protocols established by a Radiologist. Manage venous access for patients requiring IV contrast as directed by a Radiologist. Input necessary data into the Radiology Imaging System, IDX Imaging Suite, and Picture Archive Communication System. Process imaging results and perform quality control tests on equipment; report irregularities as needed. Notify Team Leader and maintenance personnel of any equipment malfunctions. Coordinate with the Radiology team, providing support to physicians and addressing problems as needed. Oversee the ordering of supplies and keep the team informed of inventory levels. Responsible for handling non-controlled medications associated with imaging exams and tray setups. Qualifications

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required) Certification and Licenses:

Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certified Radiology Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
