Princeton, NJ Job Overview: A prestigious law firm based in Princeton, NJ, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled mid-level Litigation Associate to join their dynamic legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation matters, representing a diverse client base, including Fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in litigation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential, as well as a collaborative attitude and a keen understanding of client's business needs. Duties: Handle a variety of commercial litigation cases, focusing on creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, insurance coverage, employment defense, and intellectual property matters. Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients in litigation matters. Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations. Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies. Maintain and manage case files, ensuring timely progress and adherence to deadlines. Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed on case developments. Requirements: Minimum of 1-2 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial or corporate law. Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft persuasive legal documents. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure. Experience in managing multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work. Education: J.D. from an accredited law school. Certifications: Must be licensed to practice law in one of the following states: New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania. Skills: Strong legal research and writing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficient in legal research tools and software. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team. Ability to manage time effectively and handle competing priorities.
