Join a fast-paced, innovation-focused team developing advanced catheter-based interventional devices. This high-impact, hands-on role is best suited for a seasoned engineer ready to lead complex development efforts from concept through commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product development efforts from concept generation through manufacturing transfer
- Design and evaluate catheter-based systems using advanced SolidWorks modeling techniques
- Conduct in-vitro and in-vivo testing, including fixture design and protocol development
- Create and maintain design control documentation, including specifications and risk analyses
- Develop and document manufacturing processes, incorporating DFM/DFA and Design for Metrology principles
- Mentor engineers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-driven team culture
- Break down complex engineering challenges into actionable components and deliver with minimal oversight
- Participate in technical and process improvement initiatives across the organization
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in medical device design and development
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and engineering drawing standards, including GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA Design Controls
- Experience with catheter-based systems and hands-on prototyping
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or related engineering field
- Specialized technical depth in materials science, metrology, or interventional device design
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and presenting to internal and external stakeholders
