Position Overview

The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding DCSG’s market presence, and building long-term client relationships within the data center industry. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on business generation, requiring a strong understanding of data center operations, infrastructure services, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan aligned with DCSG’s service lines and expansion goals.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and contractor partners. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize retention and account growth.
  • Market Development: Expand DCSG’s presence into new regions and service categories (e.g., electrical contracting, engineering staffing).
  • Collaboration: Partner with operations, project management, and finance teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Brand Development: Represent DCSG at industry events (AFCOM, 7x24, DCD, etc.) and leverage professional networks to position DCSG as a trusted partner in the data center ecosystem.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee CRM pipeline reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics to track progress against company growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, sales, or account management in the data center, critical power, or infrastructure services sector.
  • Ability to cultivate executive-level relationships and close multi-million-dollar opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of UPS systems, batteries, containment, and/or electrical contracting preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.

Salary : $208,000.00-$251,100.00
