100% remote role working at a Series A AI startup!
Location: Remote (100% remote any time zone in the US; preference for EST or CST but flexible)
Compensation: $175,000 - $210,000 base salary + equity
Employment Type: Full-time
We are working with a Series A LegalTech AI startup that modernizes enterprise law firms\' deal processes through backend infrastructure and AI integration. The company has achieved over $1M ARR in the last five months and is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to expand core product capabilities. Experience in AI / ML Ops / LLMs is desirable.
Tech Stack: Golang, Postgres, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, React, Temporal, GitOps, ArgoCD, OpenAI, Anthropic
Responsibilities
- Expand core product capabilities as part of a senior backend engineering team.
- Contribute to greenfield projects with autonomy and pragmatic execution.
- Ship products used directly by enterprise customers.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience as a backend or backend-leaning full-stack engineer.
- Experience with Golang strongly preferred; open to Java/C/C++/C#/Rust.
- Experience with LLMs / AI Agents or a genuine interest to enter this space.
- Not a fit if you have only large-company experience with no startup/small team exposure, consulting background, bootcamp-only education, or less than 4 years of experience.
