Overview

The Senior Genomics Sales Director (Mountain States) is responsible for the overall health and performance of the assigned region. In partnership with the Regional Vice President, you will develop and implement sales strategies based on opportunity analysis and business analytics results. You are expected to meet your region’s sales goals and quotas, create and maintain a Regional Business Plan, analyze data, manage your region’s data in Salesforce CRM, complete assigned sales and company training, and drive growth for your region. You must be well informed about Fulgent’s service menu and related science, the markets served, forecast sales, understand the competitive landscape, and communicate potential product improvements to your manager. You will act as a field advisor to your manager and should possess an entrepreneurial drive to own the territory as if it were an independent franchisee of Fulgent Genetics, responsible for the overall profit and loss of the region.

We are considering candidates located in Salt Lake City, UT and Denver, CO.

  • Strong scientific and technical aptitude to deliver technical presentations, scientific discussions, seminars/webinars, and product demonstrations.
  • Strong Salesforce CRM knowledge and daily use.
  • Acquire market intelligence and feedback and provide the information to your direct manager.
  • Develop and foster strong working relationships with customers, prospects, and business partners.
  • Actively gather content for the marketing team for applications notes, web content, and new applications.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of successful clinical genomics sales experience, specifically in the rare diseases market.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a BS or MS degree in the life sciences.
  • A verifiable record of sales accomplishments spanning at least five (5) years that shows competency in meeting sales goals, negotiations, and selling to customer needs.
  • Strong experience calling on Children’s Hospitals and academic institutions in the rare diseases market.
  • Experience dealing with a range of senior stakeholders.
  • Self-directed with strong work ethics and initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong ownership skills.
  • Salesforce CRM competence.
  • Ability to interpret and explain policies, procedures, rules and/or regulations to clinicians and the public.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy to establish and maintain cooperative relationships when dealing with clinicians, the public, and outside agencies.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
