Job Description

Job Title: Hardware Verification Engineer

Experience: 5–8 Years

Location: Bangalore

Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Hardware Verification Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing hardware-level test strategies to ensure the performance, reliability, and compliance of complex electrical and embedded systems. You will work closely with hardware designers, firmware engineers, and system architects throughout the product development lifecycle.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute comprehensive hardware verification test plans, test cases, and test protocols for analog, digital, and mixed-signal designs.
  • Perform functional, electrical, thermal, and environmental testing on PCB assemblies and hardware modules.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
  • Identify hardware issues, perform root cause analysis, and work with design teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Document test procedures, results, and verification reports, ensuring traceability to product requirements.
  • Support regulatory and compliance testing (e.g., EMC, safety, environmental).
  • Collaborate with design, firmware, and validation teams in early-stage design reviews and risk analysis (e.g., FMEA).
  • Automate test processes using scripting languages such as Python or LabVIEW where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in hardware/system-level verification and validation.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals, test methodologies, and hardware debugging techniques.
  • Experience working with embedded systems and interpreting schematics and layout files.
  • Familiarity with requirements management and traceability tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
  • Working knowledge of international standards (IEC, ISO, FCC, CE, etc.).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in automated test setups and scripting (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW).
  • Understanding of DFMEA, DVT, EVT, and PVT processes in product development.
  • Experience with product compliance testing (EMI/EMC, safety, RoHS).
  • Exposure to Agile or V-model development environments.
