Job Overview
A full-service business law firm in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is seeking a Senior Labor & Employment Attorney to join its growing team. This role involves both litigation and advisory work for a diverse range of clients, and offers the opportunity to first-chair employment disputes in court, arbitration, and before administrative agencies. The ideal candidate is a motivated legal professional with deep experience in labor and employment law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across practice groups. Location
Duties
Manage a full litigation docket, including serving as first-chair in employment disputes
Represent clients in court, arbitration, and administrative proceedings
Oversee matters through the full litigation lifecycle, including supervising junior attorneys as needed
Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace policies, and risk mitigation strategies
Draft legal memoranda, motions, and client communications
Engage in effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and third-party vendors
Uphold professional standards and the firm’s core values
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience in labor and employment law
Demonstrated first-chair litigation experience
Ability to manage complex cases and multiple deadlines simultaneously
Proven success in a collaborative, client-focused legal environment
Experience in both litigation and employment counseling is preferred
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications
Active license to practice law in the State of Texas (required)
Skills
Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong oral and written communication abilities
Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Practical Law
Familiarity with legal document management systems (e.g., iManage), Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels
