Stand-Up Forklift Operator
Operate a stand-up forklift to efficiently load and unload trucks at the docks. Utilize RF scanners to manage barcode-based inventory within the warehouse. Accurately count and track inventory through invoicing, ensuring handwriting is clear and forms are completed correctly. Perform detailed work using scanners and paper invoices for both inbound and outbound products. Complete inspection sheets for departing trucks, verifying correct quantities. Work comfortably in temperatures from 38 degrees or colder, and assist with all types of warehouse tasks, including stacking, packaging, scanning, and cleaning in a fast-paced environment with approximately 80 trucks moving in and out daily.
Responsibilities:
- Operate stand-up forklift for loading and unloading trucks.

- Count and track inventory accurately through invoicing.
- Complete inspection sheets for outbound trucks.
- Assist in various warehouse tasks such as stacking, packaging, scanning, and cleaning.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment handling approximately 80 trucks daily.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 2 years experience with forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Proficient math skills with at least 1 year of experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cold storage is preferred.

Work Environment:
Work in a cold storage facility with temperatures ranging from 38 degrees to negative 10 degrees. The facility is new, clean, and adheres to food safety standards. The shift is from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, with a requirement for flexibility and potential Saturday work. Employees need to provide their own cold weather gear initially and steel-toed boots. A freezer coat will be provided after one week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ALTOONA, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr.
