Warehouse Worker 2
Adecco is currently assisting a client in their search to fill Warehouse Worker 2 positions located in Agawam MA. Pay Rate: $22.27/HR. 2nd Shift Monday Friday, 2:00pm 10:00pm.
Job Summary: We are currently hiring a Warehouse Worker II for our 2nd shift team. This role requires individuals who are either experienced in or willing to learn how to operate specialized warehouse equipment, including narrow aisle trucks and forklifts. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and safety - especially when involved in pick/pack and put-away operations. In this role as a Warehouse Receiver, you will be responsible for keeping track of items sent to our distribution centers from our suppliers, review order invoices and inspect products for damage.
What will you do?
- Process customer orders daily to meet their expectations
- Work in one or more process paths; receiving, picking, packing, or shipping
- Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures and complete documentation requirements for hazardous materials
- Help make sure inventory is stored properly
- Work with your team to ensure everyone has a positive work experience with the client
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate swing reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and order pickers (training available if needed)
- Accurately sort cartons onto pallets and prepare products for shipment
- Put away inventory using warehouse management systems and equipment
- Potentially pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Follow all company safety and compliance guidelines
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Experience: 2+ years of general warehouse experience. Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers). Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus. Experience with computers and scanning equipment is a plus.
Additional Notes: Candidates must be willing to learn new equipment and systems if not already trained or skilled.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Must be able to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required)
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Possess the desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly
- Must be able to read and write in English
