Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910 Travel RN Job Details Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Medical Surgical RN) Location: Memphis, TN (Zip: 38104) - Tennessee healthcare jobs Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care Unit: 7 NORTH - Medical Surgical Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00 - 07:00) Weekly Hours: 36 (option for 48 hours available) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 or 10/20/2025; End: 1/5/2026) Weekend & On-Call: As needed Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics Patient Ratio: 1:6/7 (transitioning to team nursing) Med/Surg RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC compliant) Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience (3+ years preferred) At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment Experience in Level I Trauma Center and large hospital settings required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS (ACLS preferred) Proficient IV Start skills required Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (local candidates not eligible) Flu vaccination required (no exemptions) Pending RN licenses not accepted All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application Willingness to work holidays as assigned Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse Med/Surg patients, including post-op ortho, GI, bariatric, CHF, AKI-CKI, and stable medical management cases Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response, Pharmacy Float between similar units and campuses within a 20-mile radius as needed Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR Participate in team nursing and adapt to evolving patient ratios Respond to rapid response and emergency situations Comply with all facility safety and healthcare protocols Take the next step in your nursing career with this top-rated travel Med/Surg RN job in Memphis, TN.
