Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Locum Tenens Location: Lima, Ohio (45804) - Northwest Ohio healthcare jobs Facility Setting: 3 North Unit, Hospital Employment Type: Travel Nursing / Contract (Locum Tenens) Start Date: September 16, 2025 End Date: December 16, 2025 Assignment Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications Proficiency with cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex), including titration and administration Strong skills in telemetry monitoring and heart rhythm interpretation Demonstrated critical thinking and rapid response to changes in patient status Knowledge of stroke recognition and emergency interventions Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Reliable attendance and punctuality for all assigned nursing shifts Current skills checklist (within 1 year) and relevant clinical work history Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate age-specific patient care on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and cardiac care Administer and titrate cardiac medications per physician orders Interpret telemetry data and respond promptly to changes in patient condition Recognize and intervene in stroke and cardiac events Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes Provide support and guidance to LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to hospital policies Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
