Med/Surg RN Job Details Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (45219) - Ohio nursing jobs Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 hours Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,550 - $1,660 Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Start Date: ASAP or 9/22/2025 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Ohio or compact state BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred) Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Accurately document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and deliver direct patient care using the nursing process Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the time of admission Communicate changes in patient status promptly to care team members to ensure patient safety and continuity of care Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote a safe and compliant work environment by following hospital safety policies and procedures Contribute positively to unit teamwork and participate in team-building activities Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study relevant to Med/Surg nursing Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse in Cincinnati, Ohio, and take the next step in your nursing career!
