American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring open heart OR scrub experience and proficiency with advanced cardiac support equipment.Job Details•Work in the CVOR of a hospital setting,•Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm,•Call required with a mandatory 30-minute response time,•Patient population includes open heart surgical cases such as CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aortic dissections, pericardial window, thoracotomies, and VATS procedures,•Must be able to scrub and circulate open heart cases,•Experience with ECMO, LVAD, and Impella required,•Preference for experience with robotic chest procedures,•Use of EPIC charting system is required,•Travelers may be required to float to other campuses as needed,Job Requirements•Active RN license in hand at time of application,•Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,•Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required,•Must have recent open heart OR experience,•Scrubbing experience on open heart cases required,•Experience with ECMO, LVAD, and Impella devices is mandatory,•EPIC EMR experience required,•Pass/fail EKG exam required during compliance, with two attempts allowed,•Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted),Additional Information•Must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to a strict attendance policy,•All travelers are required to complete unit-based onboarding modules during orientation,•All RNs must prepare independently for the EKG exam, as no study materials will be provided,•Applicants with prior open heart OR traveling experience will be considered; first-time travelers must have open heart OR experience,•Background check must show no open cases,•Education must be verified by a third party; certain Florida schools not accepted,•All requests for time off must be submitted with initial application, as RTO changes are not permitted after submission,),•hash,:• ,
