Pay Information $1,871 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Required; AWHONN Intermediate Preferred Must-Have: Patient population experience with neonates, infants, and adults Description: We are looking for motivated experienced labor and delivery travelers. The ideal candidates will work in a team-based unit. Experience in managing labor (vaginal), C-sections, and multiple births is essential. Candidates should have experience managing postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:1-2. The unit has 16 labor and delivery beds with an average daily census of 15. Travelers are expected to be available to work one major holiday during their assignment period. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers should be available to work both holidays. If three major holidays occur during the assignment, travelers should be available to work two of the three holidays. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, the pushback may be 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Previous charge experience is preferred. Travel experience is required. Familiarity with Epic charting systems is a plus. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services. Candidates must have strong skills in administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, labor management, and postpartum care. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in various labor and delivery procedures and practices. Flexibility to float within the facility is required. Candidates should be knowledgeable about recognized and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Strong time management and patient care skills are essential for this role.
