We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Payroll Processor (Certified Payroll)

to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will manage the accurate and timely processing of certified and multi-state payroll, while adhering to strict reporting deadlines and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. This role involves collaborating with team members, supporting employees and managers with payroll-related inquiries, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Certified Payroll Reporting:

Generate and review certified payroll reports using Points North and LCP Tracker to meet reporting deadlines and compliance standards.

Payroll Processing:

Process multi-state weekly payroll with a focus on accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations.

Verify the submission and review of employee timecards prior to processing payroll.

Handle payroll adjustments, including salary changes, bonus payments, commissions, and other ad hoc payroll items.

Employee and Manager Support:

Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers via phone, email, or ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.

Collaboration:

Partner with payroll team members and the HR department to ensure precise payroll operations and compliance.

Process Improvement:

Contribute to department goals by identifying and implementing process improvements.

Maintain updated checklists and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline payroll processes.

Qualifications:

Experience in processing multi-state and certified payroll, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements.

Proficiency with payroll systems, including Points North and LCP Tracker (or similar platforms).

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills for addressing payroll inquiries.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional - CPP) is a plus.

Experience in process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
