Prepare discovery responses and oversee document production. Participate in depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing detailed reports. Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial when needed. Maintain consistent communication with paralegals, legal assistants, and clients to ensure smooth case progression. Requirements: 1-5 years of experience in workers' compensation law. South Carolina Bar membership is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and staff. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and independently. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in South Carolina (Bar Certification). Skills: Strong legal research and writing abilities. Proven negotiation and settlement skills. Experience in litigation and case management. Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal database management systems. Ability to collaborate within a team and mentor junior staff.
