Position Summary Manager, Social Media Content Strategy & Operations

About the Role You get to manage social for the 8th largest retailer in the US with millions of devoted members who aren't shy about telling us how much they love us (and occasionally what they might change — we really listen!). You'll help support our community management team field comments from super fans tagging us in their haul videos, assist with the entire process of content creation from concepting to creation to posting, oversee execution of innovative social campaigns, and help craft answers for the occasional 'When are you bringing back the take and bake pizza?!'

We're looking for someone:

Who is culture obsessed, crazy for content, and knows the trend before it’s trending

who understands that social is more than vanity metrics—it's about building communities that drive real business results

who can be a social media architect, crafting content strategies across platforms that resonate with our members and ultimately drive our business goals

who embraces a challenger mentality, using creativity and innovation to outsmart the competition

who recognizes that working with members instead of customers presents unique opportunities you won't find at any other retailer

In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for one of our most visible marketing channels in the company. You'll partner closely with senior leadership to transform our warehouse retail brand's social presence.

This is your chance to make a significant impact in an organization that's ready to elevate its social approach from channel-specific optimization to a holistic content strategy driving both organic engagement and paid media performance. And who knows? In this team, we believe social media managers can be future CMOs.

You'll Make an Impact By:

Partnering with the Senior Manager to implement the content strategy, ensuring every detail is managed with precision and purpose

Overseeing the strategy and creative execution of our most important social media campaigns—working hand in hand with our world-class agencies on both the creative and paid media sides

Applying deep knowledge of social publishing tools (preferably Sprinklr) with meticulous attention to tagging, metadata, and quality assurance to enable accurate reporting and insights

Leading the strategy for our innovative "My Local Social" program, including content direction and technology implementation through our custom employee mobile application

Managing communications with internal stakeholders across email, mobile, direct mail, and social media to ensure a consistent customer experience and brand alignment

Collaborating with partners and internal associates to ensure all creative output aligns with our overall brand strategy and content territories

Partnering with the Director on campaign performance data and calculating ROI of programs/initiatives to drive continuous improvement

Building relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent implementation of briefs across all channels

You'll Sweep Us Off Our Feet If You Have:

5+ years of experience in social media marketing, content strategy, or digital marketing, preferably in retail or e-commerce

Exceptional understanding of social media platforms, content strategy, and publishing tools (Sprinklr experience strongly preferred)

Growing analytical skills with experience in social media metrics, reporting, and translating data into actionable insights

Experience supporting organic and paid social media strategies to create cohesive customer journeys

A proven track record of driving collaborative success across marketing, merchandising, and technology teams

Outstanding attention to detail balanced with strategic thinking capabilities

Experience leading local or community-focused social initiatives

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

A love for digital content with the hard skills to pick up a phone to make content yourself
