Company DescriptionJob Description About the Role As a Department Manager, you'll be the leader supporting and encouraging your team. Your responsibilities include ensuring an excellent operational and visual experience for the store, customers, and colleagues. You should be aware of your store's strengths, opportunities, and competitors, analyze sales data, and create plans to optimize results and profits. A Day in the Life Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but typical responsibilities include: Managing the total OMNI customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial standards are met Representing the H&M brand positively during customer interactions Identifying and acting on commercial opportunities within your department Establishing and analyzing sales and budget goals, creating plans to meet them Providing excellent customer service and promoting our Customer Loyalty App and sustainability initiatives Managing department costs efficiently Overseeing routines in fitting rooms and checkout, including transactions, returns, and exchanges Handling administrative routines for staff and operations Fashion & Trend Awareness Staying updated with fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers Ensuring your team provides product knowledge and relevant information during customer interactions Team & Development Recruiting, onboarding, managing performance, and developing your team Conducting performance evaluations and planning for succession Sharing knowledge and skills with your team Collaborating with the Visual Merchandiser team Providing and receiving feedback for mutual development Planning and scheduling team activities Communicating regularly to motivate and inform staff Ensuring store procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed Participating in onboarding, training, and development programs Retail Operations & Visual & Commercial Execution Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-stocked sales floor and back of house Ensuring high-quality visual and product presentation Managing stock levels and contributing to stock allocation decisions Overseeing the full garment cycle and fitting room routines Maintaining store technology and services according to standards Upholding consistent pricing signage and store standards Keeping the back of house organized and up-to-date Managing daily opening and closing procedures Qualifications Strong leadership skills and a sense of responsibility Ambitious, communicative, supportive, and analytical Achievement-oriented with a customer-centric attitude Why You'll Love Working at H&M Valuing diversity and inclusion Being guided by core values that have contributed to over 75 years of success Access to resource groups and networking opportunities Inclusive environment encouraging authenticity Global career growth opportunities Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, wellness programs, retirement plans, paid leave, and community service days Employee discounts at H&M and other brands Additional Information Compensation: $21.39-$25.24 hourly. This range is an estimate based on current assessments and may vary depending on qualifications and future adjustments.
