Before and After School Program Director

role for the 2025-2026 school year in Mahopac Falls Academy, Mahopac, NY.

Job Status:

Part-time, non-exempt

Pay:

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour (based on role, qualifications, and experience)

Responsibilities

Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion.

Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.

Communicating daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.

Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.

Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Associate's degree in Child Development, Child Development Certificate, Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent degree.

Or:

Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).

Or:

9 credits in Early Childhood or a related field with a plan of study leading to an Associate’s or other Office-recognized credential (with 1 year of experience).

Minimum Qualifications:

Medically fit to perform all job duties and free of any communicable diseases including TB.

Warm, friendly, upbeat; strong people skills with kiddos, parents, and team members; professional, reliable, and punctual.

Physical ability to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs to keep up with kids.
