HomeCare General Superintendent: This is a skilled position requiring extensive knowledge and experience in the construction industry. Playing a key role in the successful completion of any build, Superintendents must exhibit a strong work and leadership skills along with the ability to plan, organize, direct and control large scale, high-end residential construction projects.
Responsibilities
Implement and oversee jobsite safety on multiple small projects and remodels. Quality assurance and quality control on multiple small projects and remodels. Identify all technical aspects and any problem areas prior to construction on multiple small projects and remodels. Ability to read and understand plans and specifications. Review and oversee scheduling on multiple projects. Identify potential scheduling issues. Help facilitate the production sequence. Coordination of scopes of work with trades and subcontractors. Facilitating Superintendents keeping progress schedules current. Maintain close communication with the superintendents and project manager on any unforeseen problems that develop. Assist with troubleshooting issues and constructability problems as the arise on various projects. Ensure layout is completed on all small projects and remodels. Oversee the foreman, carpenters, and techs within Hansen HomeCare. Assist with the review of shop drawings and submittals as needed. Experience
High school degree or equivalent. College education with a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture is preferred. Completion of craft apprenticeship program or equivalent skill level and training. 10+ years of experience in supervisory position. Ability to understand project scopes and objectives as well as other construction trades. Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies and procedures. Current OSHA-30 Certification (or obtained within six months from date of hire). Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems before major issues develop. Effective use of computers and other technology. Willingness to be held accountable and act honestly and with integrity. Strong attention to detail and ability to remain diplomatic and calm under pressure. Ideally has been the lead superintendent on several homes roughly 10,000 square feet in size involving heavy sitework, concrete, structural steel, slab on metal deck, complicated high-end finishes, and complex mechanical and electrical systems.
