Salesforce Responsibilities Strategic Product Vision & Roadmap: Define and champion a compelling, multi-year product vision and roadmap for Events Technology, aligning with Salesforce's overall marketing, customer success, and technology strategies. This includes anticipating future needs for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. Product Development & Innovation: Lead the ideation, design, and development of innovative event technology products and features. Drive the adoption of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, personalization, immersive experiences, advanced analytics) to enhance attendee engagement and deliver measurable business outcomes. Organizational Leadership: Product Management: Architect and mentor a high-performing product management organization ensuring a rigorous, customer-centric approach to product discovery, definition, and delivery. Product Technical Operations: Oversee the technical operations of all event platforms ensuring reliability and scalability for global events. This includes monitoring, incident management and continuous optimization. Program Management: Lead a team of Program Managers to ensure the successful execution and delivery of complex event technology initiatives, driving cross-functional alignment and managing dependencies across various stakeholders. User interface/ User Experience: Lead a team to define and manage our cross-channel User Experiences, User Interface Design, AI Conversational Experiences, Design Systems and User Research functions for the Digital Marketing Technology team.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate deeply with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, IT, and other business units to integrate event technology seamlessly into overall customer journeys and business processes. Serve as a key strategic partner to C-suite executives and cross-functional leaders. Vendor & Ecosystem Management: Strategically evaluate, select, and manage relationships with key event technology vendors and partners, ensuring optimal value, performance, and alignment with Salesforce's technology architecture. Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish robust analytics and reporting frameworks to measure the effectiveness of event technology solutions, derive actionable insights, and continually optimize experiences based on data. Talent Development: Recruit, retain, and develop top-tier talent across Product Management, Product Technical Operations, Program Management and UX/UI, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning. Operational Excellence: Drive efficiency and automation across all aspects of Events Technology, implementing best practices in Agile development, DevOps, and incident management.
Qualifications
15+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, with a strong focus on large-scale enterprise software product development. 10+ years of direct experience leading product development, technical operations, or program management specifically within the events technology, digital marketing technology, or related experiential technology domains. Extensive experience in UX/UI design. (Previous functional leadership of design teams preferred). Proven track record of defining and delivering complex, scalable, and highly performant technology products and platforms from conception to launch and ongoing operations. Deep expertise in technology product management, including user research, requirements gathering, roadmap development, and agile delivery methodologies. Strong understanding of the event technology ecosystem, including registration platforms, virtual event solutions, content management systems, mobile apps, and integration with CRM (Salesforce experience preferred). Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing, multi-disciplinary global teams (Product Management, Technical Operations, Program Management, Engineering and Design). Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to product strategy and operational optimization. Experience managing large technology budgets and negotiating with vendors.
