Staff Frontend Engineer, Link Payment Experience
Overview Join Stripe’s Link Payment Experience team to lead frontend initiatives that improve the paying experience across the Link product. You will define frontend architecture patterns, build reusable components, and collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Product to ship new Link products and experiences. Base pay range $224,000.00/yr - $336,000.00/yr What you’ll do Lead by example in designing, developing and delivering a performant, highly polished user experience. Drive frontend architecture discussions and decisions. Partner with engineering, product, and design leadership to define technical strategy. Establish best practices and repeatable processes for teams building in the Link payments domain. Make tradeoffs that align with business priorities, user experience, and sustainable technical foundations. Develop and lead execution against short-term and long-term roadmaps. Collaborate with platform teams across Stripe to share best practices and communicate Link needs. Work in languages and technologies such as TypeScript and React. Mentor engineers to grow as leaders at Stripe. Who you are Minimum Requirements 10+ years of experience in full-time software development roles. 8+ years designing and engineering products and user surfaces for high-impact experiences. Strong product and design sense with collaboration across cross-functional partners. Deep technical understanding of frontend technologies, patterns, and best practices. Self-directed and autonomous across multiple teams to deliver scaled impact. Experience as a technical lead with roadmapping for complex projects across teams. Experience mentoring senior engineers. Experience with modern web frameworks and languages, such as React and TypeScript. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of authentication flows, session management, and secure cookie handling. Strong CSS/JS animation and transitions skills with high-quality visual experiences. Location and workstyle Hybrid work at Stripe: available in-office or remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). In-office and remote expectations are defined by Stripe guidelines and location. Pay and benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $224,000 - $336,000.
