Overview
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining project computer systems, networks, and servers, ensuring these systems are functioning optimally, securely, and efficiently, providing support to users and implementing solutions for technical issues. Responsibilities
System Management: Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), software, hardware, and network infrastructure. Security: Implementing and maintaining security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data backup/recovery plans. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for users and systems. User Support: Providing technical assistance and training to end-users on system usage and best practices. Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitoring system performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary upgrades and maintenance. Documentation: Creating and maintaining system documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures. Required Qualifications
Experience: Shall possess a minimum 8 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. Education: Masters degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or a Bachelors degree in a related field with an additional 2 years of related senior experience (total 10 years) as a substitute to the Masters degree. Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly Required: Security+ certification. Highly Desired: Proficient cloud computing experience, proficient digital security experience, SQL Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking concepts, virtualization technologies, and system security principles. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical users. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and evolving IT trends. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other IT professionals and users. Benefits
