Overview
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Specialist within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You will be responsible for ensuring software and IT systems meet established quality standards and requirements by designing, executing, and documenting tests, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues, and ensuring the final product is functional, user-friendly, and meets user needs. This position is located in Washington, DC with a hybrid working model acceptable. Responsibilities
Developing and implementing QA processes: creating and maintaining quality assurance protocols, policies, and procedures. Test planning and execution: designing, developing, and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, including automated tests. Defect management: identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, and working with development teams to resolve them. Collaboration and communication: working closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle. Quality audits and reviews: conducting audits and reviews of products and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards. Documentation: creating and maintaining comprehensive quality documentation, including test plans, test results, and defect reports. Continuous improvement: analyzing data, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to processes and products. Staying up-to-date: keeping abreast of the latest QA methodologies, tools, and technologies. Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience related to the specific labor category, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. Education: Master’s degree in a related area, or Bachelor’s degree with an additional 2 years of related senior experience (total 10 years) as a substitute for the Master’s degree. Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly. Required: Demonstrated experience developing improved standards for production and design, conducting root-cause analysis, implementing corrective action, and documenting quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits. Highly Desired: Deep knowledge of QA terminology, methods, tools, IC application development, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Technical Expertise: Understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and tools. Analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to analyze data and identify root causes of issues. Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Collaboration and teamwork: ability to work effectively in a team environment. Adaptability: ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Compensation
