Overview
The Salesforce Developer will work closely with other developers to ensure all code aligns with architectural standards and design for the Humanitarian Services Group. The work location is virtual; the selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States, with East Coast hours (9am - 5pm EST core hours). This is a full-time/permanent position and not available for C2C or C2H. The role requires working extended hours/on-call support as needed to support major outages, especially during hurricane season. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Lightning Web Components (LWC), Lightning pages, responsive User Interfaces and Community Portals in Lightning Experience Develop custom Apex (classes, triggers, batch jobs) to implement custom business logic based on requirements Create and optimize Salesforce Flows Develop secure Salesforce integrations with external systems using APIs or middleware like MuleSoft Build and customize Force.com applications Support deployment of changes across environments using CI/CD tools Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain comprehensive code documentation, and write/maintain test classes to ensure coverage for all custom development Troubleshoot and resolve issues or defects encountered during development, testing, and delivery stages Actively participate in design and sprint planning sessions, offering relevant solutions and input Estimate the level of effort for stories and/or epics based on business requirements and platform knowledge Participate actively in all Scrum events Other responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Salesforce developer; 4 years total IT experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience Current Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II, Service Cloud Consultant, or Experience Cloud Consultant preferred Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Aura and Lightning Web Components Extensive development experience with custom Apex (Classes, Controllers, Triggers, batch jobs), Visualforce and Salesforce Flows General web development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript for custom UI components Expertise in Service Cloud and Experience Cloud preferred Proven experience developing Salesforce integrations using APIs (REST/SOAP/Bulk) or MuleSoft Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Git, Azure DevOps for source control; VS Code IDE and branching/merging strategies Deep understanding of the Salesforce product suite including Salesforce1, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud (Communities) and AppExchange solutions Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment Strong professionalism, interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and problem-solving skills Combination of education and general experience to meet minimum requirements Pay Information
The annual salary range for this position is $110K - $130K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Salaries are aligned to the geographic location where the work is performed; other factors may include skills and experience. Salary details will be discussed at phone screening based on location and experience. Benefits
