Overview
We are seeking an
F5 Network Engineer
to join our enterprise infrastructure team. This is a
true SME role
for candidates with
enterprise-level ownership of F5 environments , not just exposure. The engineer will focus on
load balancing, application security, cloud migration, and automation
while collaborating with senior engineers and leadership on high-visibility projects. This position offers the opportunity to manage a large-scale F5 ecosystem, lead automation efforts in AWS, and work hands-on with advanced modules including
APM, ASM, iRules, and AS3 . Key Responsibilities
Serve as the
F5 Subject Matter Expert , managing enterprise-wide load balancing and security environments. Design, configure, and troubleshoot
F5 LTM, APM, ASM, and iRules (TCL scripting) . Drive the
cloud migration
of F5 services, including automation builds in
AWS using AS3, Ansible, and Python . Manage SSL certificates, MTLS configurations, and traffic policies. Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient networking solutions. Perform advanced troubleshooting using
TMSH, Bash, TCPDump, and Wireshark . Document designs, processes, and policies to support operational excellence. Participate in
on-call rotation
(1 week every 4–5 weeks): Evening production changes and occasional weekend upgrades (approx. every 6 weeks). Flexible comp time provided. Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on experience as a
Network Engineer with enterprise-level F5 ownership . Advanced F5 expertise (300-level) required;
F5 200-level certification mandatory
(expired within last 5–7 years acceptable). Deep understanding of
full proxy environments, NAT/SNAT, iRules, APM, ASM, LTM . Strong experience with
cloud migrations, AWS AS3 automation, and Ansible/Python scripting . Proficiency in advanced troubleshooting with
TMSH, Bash, TCPDump, Wireshark . Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Proactive, ownership-driven mindset; comfortable working on high-impact projects in a collaborative team environment. Why Join
