Overview
We are seeking a
Senior F5 Network Engineer
to join a highly skilled team managing enterprise load balancing and security environments. This role is
100% F5-focused ideal for an engineer who wants to own complex upper-layer application functions, collaborate closely with senior architects, and work on high-impact automation and cloud migration projects. You will join a small, collaborative team of experts reporting to the Network Manager, with direct support from the Principal Engineer. This position offers ownership of enterprise-wide F5 environments, exposure to all modules (not just niche functions), and opportunities to lead automation efforts in AWS. Compensation

$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Serve as the
SME for F5 systems , with focus on
APM (Access Policy Manager), ASM (Application Security Manager), iRules , and upper-layer proxy functionality. Design, configure, and troubleshoot F5 environments, including
iRules/TCL scripting , NAT/SNAT, and full proxy. Support and enhance automation initiatives, with exposure to
AS3, Ansible, and Python . Participate in
AWS cloud projects , including new hardware builds, automation deployments, and system migrations. Provide advanced troubleshooting using
TMSH, Bash, TCPDump, and Wireshark . Partner with stakeholders (internal teams and external clients) to ensure performance, security, and scalability of the F5 environment. Document processes, configurations, and policies to support operational excellence. Participate in
on-call rotation
(approx. 1 week every 45 weeks) with minimal after-hours pages; comp time provided for evening/weekend changes. Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on
F5 engineering experience
with advanced (300-level) expertise;
200-level certification required
(expired within 57 years acceptable). Deep technical knowledge of: F5 modules : APM, ASM, iRules. Automation tools : AS3, Ansible, Python (preferred). Full proxy environments , NAT/SNAT, and core F5 proxy features.
Strong troubleshooting background in complex enterprise environments. Experience with AWS deployments and automation a plus. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; proactive, collaborative, and able to take ownership of enterprise environments. Why Join
